Overview

About This Course

Manual Handling Refresher is a focused half day session for workers who already hold manual handling skills and need to keep them current. The class is delivered face to face by experienced trainers and aligns closely with the practical content of HLTWHS005 without issuing a nationally recognised statement.

You will revisit safe biomechanics, complete a quick task risk assessment, and rehearse transfers using slide sheets, transfer belts, and a mobile floor hoist. The session also revisits hazardous task reporting, the hierarchy of control, and respectful communication during transfers, so you leave confident, current, and ready for your next shift.
