Tracheostomy Support Course
Refresh safe, person centred tracheostomy support for NDIS participants in home and community settings.
Refresh safe, hygienic wound care support for NDIS participants with chronic or complex wounds.
Complex Wound Care Support is a one day refresher for support workers and carers who assist NDIS participants living with chronic or complex wounds. The course covers wound types, healing stages, and the role of the support worker in maintaining hygiene, comfort, and consistent observation between clinical visits.
You will revisit aseptic technique, dressing changes, and pressure injury prevention when delegated by a registered nurse or wound clinician. Trainers guide you through wound observation, photography on a provider device, and the documentation that helps clinical teams track healing. By the end of the day you will feel prepared to deliver respectful, hygienic wound support that reduces risk and keeps the participant comfortable in everyday life.

A final case study confirms your ability to record observations and escalate concerns clearly.
On successful completion you receive a So Rig Institute Statement of Attendance confirming your refresher in this skill area. The statement lists the topics covered, the date attended, and the trainer who delivered the session, and is suitable for inclusion in your professional development file.
We recommend a refresher every twelve months, in line with NDIS practice standards and most provider policies, so your skills, documentation, and incident reporting stay current.
