Overview

About This Course

Epilepsy and Seizure Support is a one day refresher for support workers and carers who assist NDIS participants living with epilepsy or other seizure activity. The course covers seizure types, common triggers, and the everyday choices that keep participants safe at home, at work, and in the community.

You will revisit seizure first aid, recovery position, and the safe administration of midazolam when prescribed and delegated. Trainers guide you through observation, timing, and clear post seizure documentation so the clinical team has the information they need. By the end of the day you will feel prepared to support each participant with respect, reduce risk, and respond calmly when a seizure occurs.
